It was 10-years ago this month that the buildings at the corner of East Central Avenue and 1stStreet were leveled.
A fire destroyed the largest of the three buildings a few years before. Mickey’s Mulch yard now sits on the lot. My memory of these buildings recalls a barber shop, restaurant, upstairs apartments, the La Follette Furniture Company, and a store that sold Buster Brown Shoes. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/23/2018-6AM)
