Joe Stephens’ cemetery tour for Thursday, October 11, is postponed until Saturday, October 13.  Stephens’  annual History in Stone Cemetery Tour for members and guests of the Campbell County Historical Society at the Hicks Cemetery off of Demory Road on the divide between Sweeten Spring and Sugar hollows is re-set for Saturday, October 13, at 6 pm. This year’s program includes a memorial to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Private Rusty Bunch at the Presidio, a military installation in 1968, on the west coast.

The cemetery is at the end of a long lane to the left off of Demory Road near the intersection with Whitman Hollow Road. The tour is free and open to the public. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/11/2018-10AM)
