“It has become a staple event in the community.”

That is the description Christie Elkins, Campbell County Chamber of Commerce executive director, attached to last night’s event.

At the Ball Farm Event Center, with a packed house, the chamber celebrated its 34th annual pig roast. The occasion is the only fundraising the chamber conducts.  It also serves as the chamber’s way to highlight the many businesses in the area.

Through silent and live auctions, people have the opportunity to bid on a number of items from county businesses. Among the objects on the auction block last night were a number of gift baskets, tickets to upcoming events, tools, a kayak and pontoon rental.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/02/2018-6AM)
