Tyler Nelson age 19 of Speedwell passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, after a 2 ½ year courageous battle with cancer.  He was a 2018 graduate of Cumberland Gap High School, attended Haynes Flat Baptist Church, enjoyed playing soccer, the performing arts, and a great love of music.  Tyler had a great appreciation for the work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the care that he received there. Preceded in death by Grandfather, Hugh Steven Ray.
Survivors: Parents, John and Mickki Ray Nelson; Brothers, Elijah Nelson and Joshua Nelson, and Sisters, Addison Nelson and Zoey Nelson; Grandparents, Jevonna and Mike Welch, and Larry and Frankie Nelson; Aunts and Uncles, Hugh and Stacey Ray, Kendra and Brandon Overton, Aundera and Steve Ramsey, Melinda and David Gibson, and Regina and Bryan Taylor; Numerous Cousins, other relatives and special friends, and the Physicians and Staff of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
 Funeral Services Sunday 6:00 P.M. at Haynes Flat Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Dunn and Tyler’s Uncle, Hugh Ray officiating.  Family and friends will meet on Monday at 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
