Longtime Peoples Bank of the South executive Al Morton has died.   He passed away this morning.

Morton worked 39 years for Peoples National Bank, now Peoples Bank of the South, serving as loan officer, Executive Vice President, and Board Member.   He was the developer of Cove Norris Development on Norris Lake and owner of several businesses throughout the years.

Al Morton was 81-years old.
