Members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team carried out the warrant at the home of Danny Lee “Cracker” Blankenship at 3173 Highway 297 at Newcomb.  The search warrant stemmed from an investigation of the sale and delivery of Schedule III narcotics, specifically suboxone.

Officers did not seize any property during the raid.  However, they will be presenting findings to the Grand Jury.

Sheriff Robbie Goins said, “We will continue to be vigilant in combating the illegal drug problem in Campbell County.”  Goins encourages the public to continue to report any suspicious activity by calling 423.562.7446.

The 59-year old Blankenship has been previously booked into the Campbell County Jail six times, according to jail records.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/09/2019-6AM)
