A hungry fire ate through a Jacksboro home around 6 pm on Monday night.

The family of six, uninjured, lost all of its possessions in the sub-freezing blaze that was battled by firefighters with the Jacksboro Fire Department.  Chief Jason Shetterly tells WLAF News that the county road department assisted with minor road freezing.  The scene was cleared by 10 pm last night.

The home sat on a hill off Asbury Road

One onlooker said, “It went fast.”

Shetterly, who calls the mobile home on Asbury Road a total loss, has no other details to offer.

If you would like to help this family, you are encouraged to drop off household items and donations at the Campbell County Highway Department on Mt. Paran Road.  The man of the home is employed by the road department.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/22/2019-NOON)
