A pile of rocks stopped Stacy Collen Martin from going off a hill. Last Wednesday, Campbell County Deputy John Minor found Martin asleep in the driver’s seat of a black Jeep.    He was answering a call about an accident at 1417 South Highway 25W where a vehicle had gone over a bank being stopped by a pile of rocks.

When Minor attempted to speak with the woman, later identified as Martin, he notice she seemed impaired, according to the report. She allegedly told Minor she was there to see her friend Ernie, but no one by that name lived at the residence. When Martin got out of the vehicle, she was allegedly unsteady on her feet. After a warrant check, it was discovered she had outstanding warrants and was unable to provide proof of registration or insurance at the scene. At this point, Martin allegedly told Minor she had a syringe in her pocket that contained meth. During a search at the jail, two additional syringes were found in her bra.

Martin, 42, with an address of 3350 Old Manchester Highway, Tullahoma, TN, lists herself as being homeless in the arrest report.  She is charged with driving on revoked/suspended (2nd), possession of drug paraphernalia, violation registration law, violation of TN financial law, attachment child support, capias/bench warrant.  This was the 20th time Martin has been booked into the Campbell County Jail, based on jail records.

According to jail records, Martin remains housed in the Campbell County Jail this morning on a $35,000 bond.  She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Thursday.
