This morning, at 6:30 am, members of the La Follette Police Department’s Drug Unit and Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 1102 West Central Avenue in La Follette.    The raid was conducted in response to an extended investigation conducted by the LPD’s Drug Unit. During the raid officers discovered multiple types of drugs including marijuana, oxycodone(roxy), oxymorophone(opana)and suboxone.

A pre dawn raid was carried out at this home at the corner of West Central Avenue and North 27th Street.

James Franklyn Tapp, age 53,  and 47-year old Susan Diane Tapp were taken into custody and charged with possession of schedule II opana for resale, possession of schedule II roxy for resale, possession of schedule 3 for resale and possession schedule VI.

According to a source at the Campbell County Jail, the couple will likely spend the weekend in jail and appear in court on Monday.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/22/2019-10:30AM)
