Gene Stevens and Jerri Starrett will be serving the people of Jacksboro as aldermen following today’s elections.

With 150 voters turning out to cast a ballot in the  spring race, Stevens saw an easy victory with 106 votes. Starrett’s race was much closer with her edging out  Jimmy Snodgrass by only three votes. At the end of the evening, Starrett garnered 75 votes with Snodgrass receiving 72 votes.

In all, there were 253 votes cast in the election. This means that while people were given the option of voting for two candidates,  not everyone did, according to Campbell County Election Commission staff.
