The La Follette Police Department’s Drug Unit and Special Response Team was the lead agency in this evening’s visit to an apartment in a traditionally quiet La Follette neighborhood.     A few residents, mainly senior citizens, sat curiously on their front stoops as blue lights flashed while a team of marked and unmarked cruisers sat near apartment 302 at 125 Garden Lane.  Officers gathered at the end apartment.

Three people are being questioned at his hour while one more agency makes its way to the scene, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  Local, state and federal agencies comprised of La Follette and Caryville Police, the Drug Task Force and TBI converged on the complex behind the Whiteway Plaza as the sun beamed through the big maple trees that dot the landscape.

Meth and weapons charges are at the centerpiece of the investigation.  Arrests are pending.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/23/2019-6:45PM)
