Campbell County Clerk and Master Dennis Potter tells WLAF that as of this morning, there are 145 parcels ready to be auctioned on Friday morning to satisfy 2016 property tax.    That number is higher than last year’s 112 parcels that were auctioned and has hopes this year’s numbers will dwindle by auction time, Potter said.  “We don’t want to sell anyone’s property,” he said.  He encourages anyone who has property on the auction list to come by and settle up before the process becomes any more expensive for the owner.

Properties with unpaid taxes will go on the auction block this Friday morning unless the delinquent taxes are paid prior to the auction.  The deadline to pay back taxes for the Tax Year 2016 is Thursday, May 16, 2019, 4:30 pm.  The auction is Friday, May 17, 2019, 9 am in the Chancery Courtroom at Jacksboro.
