JACKSBORO, TN  (WLAF) – In a release from TCAT, the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. it announces the awarding of two generous scholarships.

Altrusa International of Oak Ridge announced scholarship awards to fourteen dedicated women pursuing their educational goals during an award luncheon on May 22, 2019.  Ms. Rebecca Groshon (L)  and Ms.  Sheila Orick (TOP PHOTO) were announced as recipients of the 2019 Sarah Ketron Scholarship.

Sheila is a current student with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) – Jacksboro, studying Accounting. She plans to be a proud business owner, one that is owned and operated by a successful business woman.

Rebecca’s goals are to graduate from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology -Jacksboro in welding and machine tool technology. She is proud of this opportunity as she is considered a non-traditional student being a woman in this profession.

With the generous assistance of the Altrusa Organization, Ms. Groshon and Ms. Orick will continue their educational passions. Congratulations, Rebecca and Sheila!
