Jacksboro votes on surplus property

In about six minutes, the Town of Jacksboro finished its monthly meeting.

Mayor June Forstner told the board Joseph Whitaker, who was the town’s representative on the planning commission, has moved outside the city limits. He is no longer eligible to hold the seat.  Joe Brown was appointed to fill the seat.

The board approved advertising for bids to sell a garbage truck and tractor that are surplus equipment. The library has two computers that are longer useable.  Approval to dispose of the computers was granted by the board.

Final business of the night was rescheduling the July 4 regular monthly meeting to Thursday, July 11.
