LAFOLLETTE, TN  (WLAF) – Pop Woodson called her “Margie” – a hard g.  Margaret Davis started her career at the little Woodson’s in downtown La Follette at age 15 in 1948.  She took home the award for being the oldest living Woodson employee at Woodson’s 100-year celebratation on Saturday at Woodson Mall-Food City Center.

At age 86, Margaret shared the story of how she started as a candy girl and worked her way up to cashier.  She worked at the store until it closed in the 1970s.
