LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- More school changes have been announced this week. The alternative school, also known as the East LaFollette Learning Academy, will close its doors at it current location.

The school will instead be located at Campbell County High School. “It will continue to serve all students, all grades middle through high school who qualify for alternative school placement,” said Campbell County Director of Schools Jennifer Fields.
Sandi Wilson, who ran the ELLA, will be the principal at LaFollette Middle School and Joey St. John will be the full-time assistant principal at Jellico High School.
“The decision to move ELLA was very difficult to make but by doing so we are saving $215,000 in operational costs,” Fields said. “In trying to make $1.8 million dollars in cuts due to a decrease in BEP funding, our guiding principle was to make cuts that would yield the greatest savings, affecting the fewest amount of students.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 06/14/2019-6 AM)
