JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Two weekends ago, it was high flood waters, washed out roads and pipelines.  “This past weekend, downed trees and a county-wide storm were just as equally challenging because of the size of the trees,” said Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck.

Dilbeck adds, “We had more than 50 trees down, mainly from the southern part of the county to the eastern part which is Oak Grove to Flat Hollow.  Eighty-percent of those trees were large trees that took utility lines down.”

There were five crews working around the clock beginning before midnight Friday night.  A lot of the limbs and debris is piled up on edge of roadways around the county.  Beginning this morning, Campbell County Highway Department crews will be concentrating on picking up those limbs and debris this week.

“Thanks to LUB for their continuous help,” said Dilbeck.  He also expressed appreciation to CCHD crews for their around the clock efforts.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/24/2019-6AM – PHOTOS COURTESY OF ROAD SUPER RON DILBECK)
