LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The historic flood.  Last Friday night’s severe weather.  And now Thursday night’s blast of heavy rainfall and high winds.  It’s been a trying and challenging month for all those on the front lines here in Campbell County.  The La Follette Utility Board is among those on the front line.

LUB is continuing to work to restore power at this hour in the Deerfield, Alder Springs, Powder Mill, Cedar Creek, Knox Hollow and Sugar Hollow areas. Crews have been working throughout the night dealing with broken power poles and multiple lines down from the strong storm that moved through last night. LUB currently has approximately 1,300 customers without power. LUB General Manager Kenny Baird and staff thank you for your patience as LUB crews work to restore power.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/28/2019-10:45AM)
