Sarah Foust spoke to the board about the Air BNB, a bed and breakfast, she is currently operating. Last month, neighbors appeared before the board to voice concern about the Air BNB. Foust told the board she still lives in the home, but does rent it out to guests.  Foust said she feels Air BNB will bring in more revenue. Stooksbury told Foust  the city is currently working on an ordinance pertaining to the issue and should have something worked out in the next month.

Resolution No. 2019-02 applying for TML Pool Safety Grant with 50/50 match and Ordinance 2019-04 amending the annual operating budget for fiscal year 07/01/2018-06/30/2019 were approved, Stooksbury told the board that these were just housekeeping items.

The town’s backhoe is currently out of operation.  Stooksbury said, “Once our 2019-20 budget is back from the state and approved, the town could look at purchasing a new backhoe through the state contract. But, until that time the town would need to possibly rent a backhoe.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/09/2019-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF TRECIA KINDRED)
