JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It was an impressive sight; more than 1,300 students, faculty and staff filling Brown Gym on Thursday morning at Campbell County High School.

Principal Jamie Wheeler welcomed students and teachers back.  Teachers were then introduced to the packed house to applause for the better part of an hour.  There were Hula hoop contests, tug-of-war and cheers from the CCHS Cheerleaders.  Cougar Head Football Coach Justin Price closed the event with an inspirational and encouraging message.

Katherine Ayers stole the show with her Hula hoop skills taking the contest hands down.

  1. Although it was nice, it was NOT the first back to school rally. We had one the year after the shooting. There were obstacle courses, games, and food. It lasted all afternoon.
