LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – “The flood really did a number on the bricks,” said Chris Arnold as he and Gary Byrd re-set the La Follette High School memorial and honorary bricks at Seargeant Park in Downtown La Follette.

It took a former Eagle from  Jacksboro High School  in Gary Byrd (left) and a former Cougar from Campbell High School in Chris Arnold (right) to repair the La Follette High Owls  bricks.

Arnold added  the bricks had sunk so deep,  stacking another brick on top of it would have been possible.  He and Byrd took out each brick out, prepped the foundation area, replaced and sealed the bricks and then added in the sand.  The pair spent about all day on Monday and half of Tuesday finishing up both brick areas.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/14/2019-6AM)
