Cougar Thomas Johnson is the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce “Special Teams Player of the Week”

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – At the conclusion of Friday night’s season opener on Pat Kerr Field, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce “Players of the Game” were selected by the WLAF – B & M Tires Sports Network Crew.  The “Offensive Player of the Game” is Devlin Dukes with the Chamber of Commerce “Defensive Player of the Game” being Blake Taylor.  Thomas Johnson was tabbed the “Special Teams Player of the Game.”

The Community Health of East Tennessee (CHET) “Play of the Game” was the Hunter White pass to Devlin Dukes for a 23-yard touchdown that gave the Cougars all it needed to stave off Cocke County. Dukes caught the pass over two defenders in the West end zone.

Cougar Daymon “The Hit Man” Seiber made the Jacksboro Body Shop “Collision of the Game” play

The Jacksboro Body Shop “Collision of the Game” honor goes to Daymon “The Hit Man” Seiber. “Hit Man” leveled Cocke County running back Lundon Shelton in the first quarter during Friday night’s 14 – 0 win over Cocke County. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 8/29/2019 6 AM)
