PIONEER, TN (WLAF) – A car accident turned into an argument gone bad for those involved last week.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Gross went to Lowe’s Branch Road and Melvin Hollow Road early last Thursday morning to investigate a car accident with no injuries following a domestic dispute.

When Gross arrived, he spoke with the victim who said he and his wife were having an argument at their home and he decided to walk off and try to leave. He then said that while he was attempting to walk down the road Heather Nicole Bolton tried to run him over three times in their vehicle, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department. At this point, the victim took his walking stick and hit the windshield of the car while trying to not be ran over by the vehicle.

Gross spoke with Sgt. Josh Jeffers who spoke with Bolton who allegedly said that she and the victim were verbally arguing and when the victim went walking down the road, she followed him.  Bolton allegedly said she had gone to turn around and that is how she ended up in the ditch.  She was determined to be the primary aggressor and arrested.

Bolton, 35, 135 Branam Hill Lane, LaFollette is charged with aggravated assault.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 09/25/2019-6AM)
