Magdline (Loyd) Ivey, age 89 of La Follette

Magdline (Loyd) Ivey, age 89 of LaFollette passed away Monday, October 28.  She attended Faith Tabernacle Church.  Magdline was born March 8, 1930 in Briceville, TN to the late Wayne and Minnie Loyd.

She was preceded in death by husband Lewis Ivey, brothers Fred, Wayne, Eugene, and Troy Loyd, sister Juanita Bolton, son Shelby Bowlin, and granddaughters Amber McCarty and Alisha Green.

Magdline is survived by sons Wayne Ivey, Lewis Ivey Jr. and wife Dolly, Gary Bowlin and wife Debbie, daughter Mary Bowlin and two sisters Geraldine Spencer and Fay Griffith.  She was loved dearly by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Magdline and husband Lewis raised their family in Sidney, Ohio where she also worked at Copeland Industries for 20 years.  They moved to La Follette and became foster parents to 21 children over a span of several years.

Family will receive friends 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with

Rev. Jared Meredith officiating.  Interment will follow at Glade Springs Cemetery.
