Tim Cox from Jacksboro (L) doubles as Madison Brady’s (R) papaw and Number 1 fan.  That’s Madison’s sister Averee wanting to be held.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – “I started coaching her at age three at the old La Follette Rec Center Gym,” said Tim Cox, Madison Brady’s papaw.

Cox, who attends all of Maddi Shack’s  games,  glows as he speaks of all the colleges that courted his granddaughter.  “Forty.  No.  Fifty.  Maybe more (colleges) called Madison; two and three from the same conference.  Teams from eight conferences showed interest,” said Cox.  Toledo of the Mid American Conference.  Rutgers out of the Big East along with Xavier and Marquette.  ETSU and UT Chattanooga from the Southern Conference and the SEC’s Ole Miss Rebels to mention a few all called.

Brady’s carrying on a family tradition wearing the Orange-n-Blue just like her mom and dad did, Heather Cox-Brady and Robbie Brady.  Her aunt Kasi Brady Shetterly was a Lady Cougar.  All three played in the ’90s.

Here 15 years later, Papaw Cox is still coaching.  Even if it is from the stands. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/14/2019-6AM)
