CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A cracked windshield caught the attention of Caryville Police Officer Brandon Cairns on Nov. 9.

Cairns noticed the vehicle on Bruce Gap Road and saw that the cracked windshield was obstructing the drivers view. Cairns stopped the vehicle and asked the driver for her driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration.  She was identified as Kristie Lynn Fuston.  Cairns asked the driver if she had anything illegal inside the vehicle, she allegedly admitted to the officer she had a pipe. Fuston allegedly said the pipe was inside her purse. According to a report from the Caryville Police Department, the driver was asked if there was anything else illegal in the vehicle, she allegedly said that she had one gram of meth.

A search of the vehicle and the driver’s purse revealed one pipe with residue, one blue straw with a white powdery substance and one red torch.

Fuston, 30, White Rock Road, Jacksboro is charged with felony possession schedule II meth, unlawful drug paraphernalia and obstruction to driver view.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/15/2019-6AM)
