CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Over 50 people attended the Beat Down Suicide hiking event  on Nov. 9.
The group hiked to the Devil’s Race Track and had the opportunity to “talk, get together, and make new friends to lean on in times of hopelessness,” according to organizers.
Beat Down Suicide was started by Zebulun Proctor a former Marine, John Foust with Foust Fights of Campbell County and Derick Pendleton also a former Marine. Their goal is to “bring awareness to the suicide epidemic and get rid of the stigma of depression and mental health issues that hold those back from seeking help.”
#Beatdown Suicide has now reached over 500 people who “show their support of this mission in the community.” The group said there will be more community events planned for the future. These will be announced on Facebook and the organization’s website. For more information,  check out their Facebook Book page at “Beat down Suicide: or visit HERE.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/18/2019-6AM)
