Olivia Robbins sings in Mac and Musical Cats at Postmark LaFollette over the weekend.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – What began as a poem written by Joanne McCloud Myers, grew into a short story then it became a musical.Mac and Musical Cats featuring Gigi’s studio dancers was presented at Postmark LaFollette on Dec. 7 and 8. The audience was treated to a story about a young boy who visits LaFollette during WWII and stays at the Russell Hotel.  While peering out the window he sees a line of cats coming down the ally, some with instruments on their back.   They end up in the old post office.  His curiosity gets the best of him and he follows the cats that no one else seems to see.  The story told of how the musical cats inspired him throughout his life.

Anaia and Ayiana Roberts sang “Tender Tennessee Christmas” to close out the show.

As the musical began Olivia Robbins sang “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.” The cast of cats played instruments and danced throughout the musical. Anaia and Ayiana Roberts sang “Tender Tennessee Christmas” to close out the show.

The cast of cats featured Addie Inman, Aiana Roberts, Audrey Carroll, Ayiana Roberts, Carlie Pierce, Elizabeth Goins, Iris Hopkins, Joann Begley, Nevada Raxter, Sarah Emert and Sofia McClean.
