LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A message found in a boys bathroom in seventh grade hall Thursday morning at La Follette Middle School warned that a bomb would go off on Friday at the school.  As a result, Campbell County Sheriff’s investigators swept the school and did not find any such device this morning.As an added precaution, after everyone had left the school Thursday afternoon, officers returned to the school for another sweep.  Knox County Deputy Andy Wilson and K-9 Officer CID swept the school again.  Nothing was found by the K-9 that specializes in finding explosives.

Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins said, “We’ll have extra officers on campus Friday morning.  We want our students to be safe and to feel safe.”
