JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The basketball season is over for the Cougars and Lady Cougars.  As a tribute to the six CCHS Seniors, they were all candidates in the final WLAF – Gray Insurance CCHS “Player of the Week” survey.  The candidate field included John Allen Arnold, Madison Brady, Emily Ellison, Jake Lane, Macy Monday and Artid Shyti.  Arnold ended up being the top vote getter and is this week’s “CCHS Player of the Week.”

  1. I followed the Lady Cougars from Summer Ball all the way through their last game against Halls in the District 3 Touurnament. I thoroughly enjoyed following them another season as I did the Varsity Cougars Boys Team. The Lady Cougars had the talent to go farther; however, their inexperience, lack of depth and in many games they seemed to lack motivation and consistent play needed to win games. Win or lose I am now and will always be a die-hard Cougar fan as I have been ever since the school opened. I will be there next season following them again. I congratulate both the Ladies and the Men for their accomplishments this year. I also thank all the coaches and their staff for a job well done. We definitely need more fan support for this team and school. God bless you all. See you, health permitting, next season. GO COUGARS GO!!! We will get them all next year.
