CCSO investigators comb over the area where a late day shooting occurred.

DAVIS CREEK, TN (WLAF) – A late afternoon  round of drinking ended with one person being shot.Reports from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office are that deputies responded to the call of a shooting at a home on Davis Creek Road.  An older man, 73-year old Jackie Marlow, was said to have allegedly shot a younger man, the son of Marlow’s girlfriend, in the legs after an alcohol driven argument escalated from verbal to physical and then to a shotgun being involved in the yard of the home.

It was the younger man that reports indicate was shot with a .20 gauge shotgun. After being shot, he left the home and was later located by investigators at the home of a neighbor.

The father was charged with aggravated assault while the son was transported by ground ambulance to a Knoxville hospital. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/03/2020-7PM)
