JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Shopping local just became a tougher given the current state of affairs.  However, Campbell County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christie Sampieri offers some creative ways to  to shop local, stay healthy and support local businesses.Shop Local!  Don’t forget to continue to support local businesses, which are the heartbeat of the community.  Here are a few ways to show love to  retail and restaurant industries in Campbell County:

1.) Shop Local Online

Order from a favorite local retailer and have the product shipped to your home. Use curbside service to enjoy dinner from your favorite local restaurant.

2.) Gift Card Gratitude

Buy gift cards locally to be used later. Great for teacher gifts, graduation, Mother’s Day, birthday presents, future dinner nights out, and more.

3.) Pay Your Dues

Keep your memberships and subscriptions current, whether it be dance class, piano lessons, a gym membership, etc. This will go a long way in supporting local business.

4.) Social Media Shares

Have a local business you love? Give them a shout out on social media and direct traffic to their online presence. Leave a positive review on Google so others can learn more.

  1. In response to your photo of the Royal Pool Room and their window sign proclaiming the “World’s Best Hotdogs:”

I have been to many countries all around the world and to nearly all the States. I have had a hot dog or two in almost all of those places… The Royal Pool Room in La Follette, Tennessee, far and away has the World’s Best Hot Dogs. No other comes close.
