LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The City of La Follette is holding its first meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The workshop is this afternoon at 4:30pm at city hall immediately followed by May’s regular monthly meeting. However, the meeting will not be open to the public. One of the items on the workshop agenda is discussion of the appointment of the fire chief. If the council decides to send the vote for a new fire chief on to the regular meeting, it will likely be voted upon there. The two applicants are interim fire chief Jimmy Pack and Lt. Dusty Davis. Pack was named interim when Chief Charles Eldridge retired earlier this year.
