LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Sunday evening, Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to reports of a possible domestic altercation which included a person being struck by a pick-up truck in the Cedar Creek area.

The fatality occurred near the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found a male subject with injuries consistent with being struck with a vehicle.  Deputies began rescue efforts and requested an ambulance.  Efforts to revive the victim were not successful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Campbell County deputies and detectives, with the assistance of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, continue to investigate.  The man driving the Ford  pick-up truck is yet to be charged.  The incident will remain under investigation and more details will be available as the investigation progresses.    (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/25/2020-9:45AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CCSO CHIEF DEPUTY MATT WASSON)
