LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Starland Foster is alive this morning.  Barely.  The 68-year old La Follette man was able to get out of his burning van after it caught fire just before 5 am Thursday morning.

Foster was in his Chevy Astro van behind his home on Old Jacksboro Pike at the Gold Star Apartments when it went up in flames.  He suffered smoke inhalation as members of the La Follette Fire Department’s B Shift immediately put him on oxygen.  Foster told WLAF News, “That smoke about got me.  It was rough.”

Foster was treated for smoke inhalation.

La Follette Police and the Campbell County Ambulance Service were also there tending to Foster.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/04/2020-6AM)
