Campbell County School’s reopening plan nears finalization

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Some area school systems are beginning to release their plans for how they will proceed with the new school year.

Campbell County’s official plan is on the verge of being finalized.  Director of Schools Jennifer Fields said, “Our final planning meeting is July 7, this afternoon, and I will have an official plan at that time.”  That official plan will then be submitted to the state for final approval.  The director said, “Once the state approves our plan, we will then announce it to the public.”

The special called board of education meeting is scheduled for this evening at 6 pm at the Campbell County Courthouse.  Fields said the main order of business at tonight’s meeting is to finalize the budget.  She reminds those who plan to attend the meeting that the governor’s extended emergency orders only allow a maximum of 50 people to attend.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/07/2020-6AM-UPDATED 07/07/2020-11:25AM)
