Jacksboro man charged with 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - Main Street at Jacksboro near the Sheriff's Office was blocked off for a while Wednesday afternoon as traffic was diverted.  Just before 4 pm,  a search warrant was executed as Sheriff's Investigators and the Special Weapons and Tactics team of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office as well as officers of the Jacksboro Police Department converged on a home.

Ambulance makes its way through lane shift this morning

An ambulance running emergency traffic appeared to make its way through rush hour traffic without much trouble at 7:45 AM on Wednesday morning.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - The lane shift is in place this morning through downtown La Follette.  East bound travelers face the biggest shift which is to the left while it's not quite as much of a change for those travelers heading west toward Jacksboro.

There's a new traffic flow for downtown La Follette

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - TDOT Inspector Greg Monday said, "If everything goes good through the night (Tuesday morning into Wednesday morning), Wednesday morning at 6 am, traffic will follow a new pattern from Indiana Ave. to Tennessee Ave. on the west bound side through downtown La Follette."

East or Harrogate-bound traffic takes a big angle to the north or left as it travels through down town La Follette as you can see in this 5 am photo.

Expected "jump at the pump" leaped Tuesday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Anticipated gas price increases, due to the latest unrest in the Middle East, happened on Tuesday.  The day began with the lowest gas prices in Campbell County at $2.05 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.  Before lunch time, prices spiked to $2.39 a gallon.

Dad saves daughter's life from burning home that was raided last month

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - Inside a home where Pinecrest Road meets Cumberland View Road a life was saved this afternoon.  One official said, "A car driving by saw the house on fire and called 911.  Dennis Leach ran inside the home, awakened his daughter Erica Kidd, got her out of a recliner and then outside with the help of Campbell County Deputy Gary Cordell."

Ribbon cutting for new Stinking Creek Road is set

ABOVE PHOTO:  Jackie McCullah spoke to Campbell County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck as he surveyed Stinking Creek Road back in the spring .  The 76-year- old McCullah expressed his appreciation for the road being paved.  He said, except for a short time in La Follette, he’s always lived right here along SCR.
