Active COVID-19 cases down to 106 in Campbell County

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) - As of Thursday afternoon, the number of PCR positive tests for COVID-19 during the pandemic according to the Tennessee Department of Health is 301, and that includes 261 cases confirmed and probable (four more than on Wednesday).  Of the cases, 154 of those patients have recovered while 106 (active) patients are recovering and one patient has died.  Results through Thursday from 6,403 COVID-19 tests in Campbell County have come back negative.

Yager announces library grants for Campbell County Public Libraries

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) - State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) announced today that a combined total of $37,033 in library grants will be coming to 18 communities throughout  Senate District 12 and that includes $4,782 to the La Follette Public Library; $4,815 to the Jellico Public Library; $426 to the Jacksboro Public Library; and $764 to the Caryville Public Library.

CCSO's Narcotics Division targets Elk Valley man

ELK VALLEY, TN (WLAF) - The last time Corey James Idalski was arrested and placed behind bars at the Campbell County Jail was in February.  After members of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division executed a narcotics search warrant at his home last Wednesday, investigators say the 24-year-old Idalski may be on his way back.  If so, it would mark his 11th arrest in Campbell County.
