JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - It's time to pay Campbell County property taxes.  Campbell County Trustee Monty Bullock told WLAF  property tax notices were mailed out late last week.

Caryville codes saga continues

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) - At last night’s Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Virginia Blackwell voiced her concern  there are several ordinances not being observed, and no action is being taken; several contacts have been given to the officer, but no action has been taken. One fire leads to another Monday afternoon

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - One fire led to another this afternoon behind a downtown market.  La Follette Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Jimmy Pack said, “The fire started in a bin full of cardboard.  It in turn caught the wooden fence behind it on fire, and that led to a big tree catching on fire soon igniting the nearby dumpster."


Thompson’s attorney enters not guilty plea

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The attorney representing La Follette City Council Member Ann Thompson appeared in court this morning on behalf of her client. Kristie Anderson entered a not guilty plea in Campbell County Criminal Court for Thompson who was arraigned today.

HARRIMAN, TN (WLAF) – “I will treasure this the rest of my life,” said Sen. Ken Yager.  The Senator Ken Yager Building was dedicated on Friday on the main campus of Roane State Community College at Harriman.  A large crowd gathered for the ceremony in front of the building that was once called the Technology Building; a building built in 1977.
