Gas prices drop 35-cents a gallon in March

County Commission suspends all meetings for April

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Campbell County Commission has suspended all of its meetings for the month of April 2020 with the exception of an FMS Committee meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 5:00pm.


TN has an app for weekly unemployment certifications

Unemployment claimants must certify weekly to receive benefits

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF)  – An individual who applies for unemployment benefits in Tennessee must do weekly certifications in order to receive benefits. These certifications are necessary to ensure a claimant is eligible to receive benefits for that week, which lessens the chance of having an over payment. Claimants can complete the certification process on their smartphone.

Yager to host COVID-19 info tele-town hall meeting on Monday

State Senator Ken Yager, a frequent visitor to Campbell County, hosts a COVID-19 info telephone town hall meeting on Monday.

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) – State Senator Ken Yager (R-Kingston) will hold a telephone town hall on Monday, April 6th to provide an update and answer questions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.  Yager will have Laura Conner, Director of the Roane and Morgan County Health Departments, on the line to answer caller questions about what can be done to stay safe during the pandemic. Yager will also provide information on how to access state-related assistance that is available for employees and business owners affected by the virus.
