    The Senior Citizen/ Friendship Center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. for daily events. Van pick up is available. Reservations for lunch must be made one day in advance.

     Free Clothes Give-Away at the Duff Baptist Church  is each 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

    Jellico Highway Church of God on 25W will be having a Free Food Givaway on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. It is on a first-come, first-served bases. Rev. Daryll Reese, Pastor.  

   The La Follette Volunteer Rescue Squad is in need of donations to help with operating costs. The Rescue Squad is there to help with boat rescues, mountain rescues, search and rescue, and vehicle extractions. Donations may be sent to the LaFollette Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 282 LaFollette, TN 37766.

     Pink PALS is a breast cancer support group. It’s where women meet every month to share stories, valuable information, and support for one another in the fight against breast cancer. The meeting place is First Baptist Church in LaFollette on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. For more information, please call 423.494.7080.

    The Community Prayer Service is each Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the LaFollette Community Center (former West LaFollette School)

     Medic’s next LaFollette Blood Drive will be Thursday, February 23 at the CVS Pharmacy. Drive hours are 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

     Pinecrest Volunteer Fire Department is hosting Paint Ball Sessions at Station 3 located at 250 Mt.                                                                      2011-2012 Dress Code Guidelines

 Campbell County High School Administration, Faculty, and Staff encourage students to take pride in their personal appearance when attending school. Student dress should ensure a neutral environment that is conducive to learning and protective of the educational process.

It is the discretion of the administration and faculty as to what is appropriate for the learning environment. In matters of opinion, the judgement of teachers and administrators will prevail.

The following guidelines are in effect from arrival at school until departure from school:

General Guidelines Applicable to All Students

  1. Any clothing deemed disruptive or distracting to the educational process or that is a safety hazard is prohibited.
  2. Students with special conditions requiring special consideration should contact the principal or assistant requiring special consideration should contact the principal or assistant principals.
  3. No see-through clothing or cutouts are permitted.
  4. No spandex or leggings are permitted unless under appropriate length skirts or shorts.
  5. No industrial or pet chains or collars around neck, wrists, or chains attached to wallets or clothing are permitted.
  6. Accessories must not disrupt the educational process or draw indo attention to the individual.
  7. Spirit group uniforms worn to class must meet all dress code guidelines.
  8. Clothing and accessories must be free of offensive or suggestive words or graphics and contain no references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, illegal substances, or activities. Any clothing item with text, logos, or graphics that promote banned substances (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and drug paraphernalia) or are provocative, derogatory or revealing (sexually explicit) are not permitted.
  9. Students are not allowed to display, carry, or wear gang paraphernalia or items associated with gangs.

Shirts

  1. Shirts and blouses must completely cover abdomen, back, shoulders, and chest.
  2. No cleavage is to be exposed.
  3. Sleeveless shirts must extend to the point of the shoulder and have an arm opening no larger than the approximate size of the arm. No undergarment should be visible through the armhole.

Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Dresses

  1. No Pajama bottoms are permitted.
  2. Any holes must be permanently patched.
  3. Shorts, skirts, or dresses must be no more than 2 ½ inches (the width of a dollar bill) above the knees.
  4. Pants, shorts, and skirts must be worn at the waist and be size appropriate, no sagging where underwear are exposed.

        Hair/Headwear/Hats

  1. Hats, caps, head apparel may not be worn in the building.
  2. Hairstyles that cause unnecessary disruption to the learning environment are prohibited.
  3. Any visible head coverings may be confiscated.

        Shoes

  1. Shoes must be worn at all times.
  2. No house shoes or slippers are permitted.

       Facial Piercings

1.       Any piercing that causes an unnecessary disruption to the learning environment or poses a safety concern is prohibited.

       Parents are strongly urged to pay particular attention to cleanliness, modesty, and appropriateness of

       their child’s attire.

       The principal or assistant principals will make the final determination as to whether a student’s  

       dress or appearance is acceptable. This determination will be based on the philosophy and rationale 

       dress code.

       The principal has the authority to allow items for special occasions or special circumstances.
