Congratulations to all the winners of the 2011 Campbell County Youth Basketball Christmas Tournament which concluded last night and we have the full "report" on today's Sports Report.
Good Friday morning, we have been in the County Tournament all week long and met some great people, now tonight it starts again at 4:00 PM with four games then Saturday at 10:00 AM with all the championship games.
The CCYB leagues starts tomorrow at west LaFollette and the rec center gym at 9:00 AM
Our cougars and blue devils are on the road tonight, travel with them or follow them right here on 1450wlaf.com listen to the Jellico game or watch the cougar game.
We have made sooooooo many new friends and caught up with some ones we knew already from the Jellico, Wynn, Elk Valley area along with our good friends at Christian Academy in the County Tournament. They won't play tonight but will pick it back up Thursday so, come on up to LaFollette Elementary School winners of the most spirit float in this years Christmas Parade.
Our cougars and switching places it seems, the girls are cranking it up, they have won two in a row but our boys have slipped on the last two games, catch it all on my Sports Report.
This Saturday the CCYB starts up at west LaFollette and the old recreation gym it all starts at 9:00 AM.
Monday December 5 - Our cougars travel to play Ben Arnold and the panthers of Cumberland Gap tonight you can watch the action right here on our website, www.1450wlaf.com also, the Blue Devils are at Knox. Tonight, I will be at LaFollette Elementary School at 4:00 PM as the County Tournament starts up. If you're not going to Cumberland Gap, Knox. Central then, come up and be with me, I (as always) love to see you.
Our owls won we don't have the story on the eagles but we'll have it by Monday also, the battle between two very good basketball players, Lexi Richardson of Valley View and Raelyn Mynatt of Jacksboro are featured on today's Sportie. Don't forget, tonight at the new John R. W. Brown gym our cougars host Farragut, a team we've already played and look to sweep tonight. Be there but if you can't, log on tonight and let Adam make you feel as though you're there.

Wednesday November 30 - It was a clean sweep for our cougars and lady cougars along with the jv boys team as they all three sent Clinton home with losses last night. It was the opening night of district play for the cougars and what a night it was.
Monday November 28 - I will be at Valley View this afternoon to cover the bobcats and lady bobcats in action against the eagles of Jacksboro. I will try to be at LaFollette Elementary later

Good morning cougar fans, our jv boys lost last night at Farragut, our lady cougars lost in a lack luster game but our boys....WOW. We didn't score a single bucket in the first quarter and still won. They were "tight", they were nervous but once they got rid of the jitters they kicked it in gear and came a away with an impressive 48 - 39 win over a very good Farragut admirals team now, don't worry they will play again at John R. W. Brown gymnasium December 2nd but, I hope you caught it on our website if you didn't remember, you can catch the next one this Thursday as everyone will be there to bring you every bounce of the ball every call of the refs and of course the big cougar win.

Hello everyone, it's Friday November 11 - I hope you were able to see that game last night between the Blue Devils of Jellico and the Cougars of Campbell County. The cougars won the contest 38 - 33 in what was just a simple scrimmage between two neighboring schools but the fans made a little bit more out of it as there was a good crowd on hand to get a "sneak peek" at their teams.
The crew went back home but ole David went up the road to Jellico Middle School and watched the baby blue devils win over White Oak, it's all on today's Sports Report so, check it out.

Monday October 17 - Tri City Football is over and the Campbell County Soccer League wrapped up their season this past weekend, we don't know if they're going to have a banquet yet but we'll find out and let you know.
Monday October 17 - They're still taking sign ups for the Campbell County Youth Basketball League at the new LaFollette Recreation Center until October 25 so, if you haven't signed up yet you need to do so, call the rec for more information.
Friday October 14 - The eagles beat the red raiders of Horace Maynard last night at home 36 - 0. We don't have a score on the Owls / Indians game at Oneida but both our local teams are in the playoffs and it will be the same games, in the same places, HMMS is @ JMS and LMS will go play Oneida next Thursday.
This is the last Saturday for soccer at Ken Snodderly Park also the Tri City Football League wraps up it's season this Saturday at Clinton.
Don't forget, you can watch the Cougars right here on our website tonight as they play the Panthers of Powell. I spoke with Cody Parker last night and found out that Tuffy will play tonight.

I was very proud to be a small part of this wonderful organization that helps kids learn team sports in the correct manner and teaches them to play as good sports. Thank you Marvin Rutherford and everyone for helping so many children.

Friday September 30 - Well, we are back from vacation and we had fun but are glad to be back now, last night our eagles lost to Oneida and our owls lost in a heartbreaker to Maynardville. Next Thursday it's the "Battle Of The Birds" 2011 as the Eagles will travel to Owl Nation to do battle, if you recall LMS won and JMS last year so the eagles have some payback on their minds.

August 29 - The 11th Annual Campbell County Co Ed Softball Tournament took place this weekend and it was a "Hit" as they were able to raise much needed funds to help the abused children in Campbell County. Watch the news today and you can learn how to help the children of Campbell County.
August 29 - Today at 4:30 at LaFollette Elementary School the lady cougars volleyball team will play Jellico.
August 26 - Our cougars play tonight at L. Hope Dossett Stadium as they host CCHS (that's Cumberland County High School) The jets are coming in looking for a win, the new look cougars want to help them look elsewhere. Come on up tonight and support the cougars. If you can't make it remember, you can watch the game live right here and you won't miss a thing.
August 26 - The 11th Annual Co Ed Softball tournament starts tonight to raise money for the Children of Campbell County and it starts at 6:00 PM at Asbury Park in Caryville.

August 22 - Well, week one our cougars and blue devils lost but we've not given up. Jellico will be at home this week against North Greene and so will the Cougars as they will play host to the jets of Cumberland County.
August 22 - Congratulations to the Tri City Cougars who won three out of four games this past Saturday against Union County Patriots. One of the games went into two overtimes before it was decided. They play at home this weekend against the Lake City Lakers and it all kicks off at LMS football field at 4:00 PM.
August 22 - According to coach David Seals our lady cougars are more than ready for the 2011 volleyball season with big wins over some tough teams already especially our jv. They have had a very good summer coming in second at the Carson Newman Camp and winning in others. Our varsity led by Niki Ward (team captain) won three out of five of their games in their recent tournament. On their schedule their two games on the 25 and 29 are home games and will be played at Caryville elementary school.

August 15 - The Tri City Football League got started this past Saturday and all four of our teams lost. They had a tough time against a very athletic and talented Claxton team. They will play again this Saturday up at LMS, there was a good crowd up there and we hope to see more this Saturday. I will be there to film, announce, or whatever I can do to help I hope to see you there.
The cougars lost their game in the jamboree but they showed just a little bit of what they're capable of when they scored on two straight possesions. Tuffy Shoupe hit Joe Peak on the first score and Nate Rudball on the second. We came within inches of tying the game but lost 14 - 12.
August 12 - Our cougars play the Indians of Oneida tonight at 7:00 PM in the jamboree at ACHS. Five teams are involved, Clinton, CCHS, Wartburg, Oneida and the host team the mavericks of Anderson County. Come down tonight and let the cougar hear you, I'll be there on the sidelines somewhere with Dwane Wilder of the Press and we'll have the "Guru" DeWayne Kitts there as well.
August 10 - Do Not forget this weekend there will be football a plenty at LMS this Saturday as the Tri City Football League gets kicked off in their home opener. They looked great in the recent jamboree in Clinton and we're excited for the little ones as they will do battle this Saturday so, be there and support our future cougars.
August 8 - Our Tri City Cougars done themselves very proud this weekend in Clinton. They played Union County in a Jamboree and never lost a game, great job by Marvin Rutherford and all the coaches, players and parents who believe in the little ones. Their season opener is this Saturday at LMS football field and we will be there to cover it all for you.
Don't forget tonight our big 2011 Pre Season Football Show live from East Side Pizza, we were shooting for 6:00 PM as a starting time but we'll start when the coaches start showing up. Whatever, you can catch it right here on our website if you can be there.
