Deputy Tosha Tackett answered a call about a suspicious vehicle at Anchor Marina on old Middlesboro Hwy on Tuesday night. When Tackett arrived, she talked with a man sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. who was later identified as Jeremy Damon Riley. The man said he was looking for a house and supposed to be picking up a woman, according to a report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department. Tackett noticed that the man had blood shot watery eyes and slurred speech, she asked the man if he had anything illegal on him or in his vehicle. He said that he had a pipe in his pocket.  When Tackett searched the vehicle, she found a cigar wrapper pack with a green leafy substance that was believed to be marijuana beside the passenger seat.

Riley, 40, 407 Eagle Bend Lane, Clinton is charged with public intoxication, possession of scheduled VI controlled substance and hold for another agency.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/31/2018-6AM)
