A total of five Cougars and one Lady Cougar was recognized at Thursday night’s Knox News Sports Awards.

The Tennessee Theatre at Knoxville served as the setting for the ESPYs-style award show.  The Red Carpet opened the evening with the Awards Show following.  More than 100 athletes were recognized.

CCHS was represented by Skylar Boshears, Gavin Cooper, Drew Jordan, Elijah Phillips, Shawn Marcum, and Zach Rutherford.

Boshears was one of five nominees for Girls Basketball Player of the Year.  Cooper was one of five nominees for Male Cross Country Athlete of the Year.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/01/2018-6AM)
