The new, solid wood, custom made windows for the old La Follette Post Office arrived on Tuesday.  Work to install them began on Wednesday.

The wait is over, and now the work begins.  The new windows for the City of La Follette’s old post office building are here.  The work to take out the old windows started yesterday from the inside-out.  City Codes Officer Daniel Smith explains that extra care is a must when you deal with the old windows and the lead paint.  Precautions are in place to keep everyone safe who is working on the project and for all who will visit the building after the job is completed.
