Here are releases from the La Follette Police regarding the Wednesday evening shooting in the parking lot of Woodson Mall.

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 6:44 pm LaFollette Police responded to an accidental shooting in front of Little Caesars restaurant located inside the Woodsons Mall, at 2245 Jacksboro Pike in Lafollette, Tennessee. Currently the investigation is on-going and the names of the parties involved are being withheld due to this investigation. A victim was transported to UTER by Life star and is currently being treated for a gunshot wound to the head. Further up-dates will be made when available.

Up-Date to the Wednesday August 8th shooting at little Caesars in Lafollette, Tennessee:
Unfortunately, the Lafollette Police Department was notified that the victim in this incident was pronounced dead this evening around 10:00 pm. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim, a 9 year old female, was sitting in a vehicle outside Little Caesars when she was shot, which appears to be accidently, by her 10 year old brother. Investigators with the Lafollette Police Department will be conferring with the Campbell County District Attorney’s Office about the incident tomorrow, August 9, 2018.
