On Saturday night in the ’60s was when dad would load us up in the old station wagon and head to Woodson’s Super Market to buy the week’s groceries.  TOP PHOTO:  Stevie and the Wonders enterained at Saturday night’s Postmark Jamboree. 

And, of course, he’d always be tuned-in to WLAF listening to the Tennessee Jamboree.  Those memories were stirred over the weekend when I went to the grocery store on Saturday night with WLAF on listening to Postmark Jamboree.  What a good trip down Memory Lane.

WLAF’s Harold Branam, now retired, took-in Postmark Jamboree.  His son, Tony, serves as PJ’s emcee.

Fast forward 50-years or so later, and Postmark Jamboree comes in crystal clear on FM 100.9, WLAF.  And you can even watch the jamboree on WLAF-TV 12 and world-wide at 1450wlaf.com.

If you’ve not listened, watched or attended in person, it’s worth the time.  All the folks who make Postmark La Follette such a great experience are the ones who put all the heart and hard work into Postmark Jamboree.  Last Saturday night was the second edition.
