The higher terrain areas, like on Wednesday, have the best chance for rain today here in Campbell County.  Get set for a mostly cloudy, muggy late August day with a high of 85-degrees.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly late afternoon, especially in the higher elevations.  Heavy rainfall and gusty winds are the main threats from the stronger storms.

Rain chances remain on Friday diminishing some through the day.  You’ll still want to be prepared for a spotty shower or storm if your plans include the Campbell at Oak Ridge football game tomorrow night.

Though there are slight chances of rain for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Labor Day), it will not be a wash-out weekend, but most of us will not see rain.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/30/2018-6AM)
