The back trailer of twin pup trailers (a big rig) caught fire around 3 am this morning on I-75 here in Campbell County.  One northbound lane remains shutdown at this hour as firefighters  and other responders work to finish at the scene.  Mile Marker 143, just north of the Oneida Exit, is where the truck caught fire.

There were no injuries.

The Caryville Fire Department responded first.  Assistance came from several other agencies including the Jacksboro and La Follette Fire Departments along with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service and the Jellico Rescue Squad.  The Caryville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Emergency Management Agency also responded.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/04/2018-4AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF CFD CHIEF EDDIE HATMAKER)
