It is 16 hour days, destruction at every turn and sleeping in an elementary school for the crews with the Lafollette Utility Board called to help the storm ravaged gulf.

Despite their efforts, there’s still no electricity for tiny Blountstown, Fla.  However, with each growing day, the seven men from LUB continue making progress toward power restoration to one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Michael.  CLICK HERE to see more photos.

It will be about a week and a half before one of the main feeder lines to the system would be back in operation, a crew member said of the work.  After that, they will be able to start picking up service to customers.

But despite the grueling hours, heat and humidity, the seven all say  they are glad to be down there to help.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/18/2018-6AM)
